Over three decades before the advent of "Mixed Martial Arts", a revolutionary art training process was developed by the legendary Bruce Lee. This art advanced the principles of "totality" in martial art training with "realistic" and scientific training methods, and "complete freedom" for the individual practitioner. Lee named the cutting edge martial art training process he developed "Jeet Kune Do." This training process forms the foundation of what is taught at NY Martial Arts Academy, located in the Staten Island NY area.

Bruce Lee's governing principles are alive in all of our JKD grappling. Simply mixing martial arts is not Jeet Kune Do and sport martial arts that are being commonly taught are simply not made for the streets.
