Do I have to spar?

This is a question that is often brought up.  Do I have to spar?  The simple answer is no. 
 
Here at New York Martial Arts Academy, sparring is conducted on a voluntary basis.  If you wish to spar go ahead.  The instructor will make sure that everything is safe.  If you do not wish to spar then you don't have to.  Nobody is going to force you.
